Operating Instructions
Base Stand Setup1.Place the cordless base on a firm and level surface. Do not place on any metal surface such as the sink or draining board.Filling Kettle1.Slide the Lid Lock Button backward then lift and swing open the lid.
2.Fill the kettle with the desired amount of clean cold water.NOTE:Do Not Overfill above the Maximum Water Level Mark.Do Not Under Fill. Ensure the water level does not fall below the Minimum Water Level Mark.3.The amount of water can be measured by the level mark shown the outside of the kettle Water Window. Always pay attention to the minimum and maximum levels.4.Ensure that the lid is properly and firmly closed before use.Placing Kettle onto the Base1.Position the kettle centrally over the base and lower down onto the electrical contact post.2.Plug the power cord into a standard domestic power point and switch on.
Boiling the Water1.Press the On/Off Button on the front of the Base Stand to start the heating process. The indicator lamp inside the On / Off Button and the Water Windows in the kettle will light up.
2.As soon as the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will switch off and the indicator lamps inside the On / Off Button and the Water Window in the kettle will turn off.The kettle can also be switched off manually during the boiling cycle by pressing the On/Off Button again.The kettle can also be switched off manually during the boiling cycle by lifting the kettle of the Base Stand. (not recommended)3.After the power has switched off to the kettle, the kettle can now be lifted off the base by use of the handle and the hot water may now be poured safely through the spout into another container.Safety cut-out1.This kettle is equipped with a safety cut-out to protect the appliance from damage in case of inappropriate use.2.Should the appliance be accidentally operated without water, or if all the water has evaporated, the safety cut-out will automatically switch off the heating element3.In such a case, remove the plug from the wall socket immediately. Allow to completely cool (approximately 20 minutes) then refill the kettle with water.Note: If the kettle still cannot be started, allow to cool for a longer period.
Decalcifying1.Should the appliance switch off before reaching boiling point, this is a sign that decalcifying is necessary.2.Any regular de-scaling agent may be used, providing the relevant instructions are observed.3.Do not fill the kettle to the upper mark so as to avoid spillage if the de-scaling agent causes the water to foam.4.To clean the kettle thoroughly of any decalcification residues, let it go through several boiling cycles, using clean water with each cycle. Rinse the kettle with clean water afterwards.
Cleaning1.Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.2.Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.3.Do not immerse the base stand or the kettle in any liquid. To clean the exterior, a slightly damp, lint-free cloth may be used.4.Wipe the Stand Base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in liquid and do not use abrasive cleansers or metal scouring pads.5.It is advisable to remove lime deposits form the kettle at regular intervals.6.Rinse out the kettle when finished.Note: Do Not place any parts in a Dishwasher.Do Not put detergents or cleaning agents (excluding decalcifying agents) in the kettle.
