1.made of high tensile strength E-fiberglass yarns 2.impregnated with a thermosetting resin system 3.for high volatge banding
Polyglass banding tapes are made of high tensile strength E-fiberglass yarns, impregnated with a thermosetting resin system.
During the manufacture, the yarns are laid parallel to form a thin flat ribbon with exceptional strength. And during curing the resin fills voids and air spaces to form a homogenous laminate. After curing, the band is rigid with a hard smooth resin rich surface with the resistance of dirt adhesion. Furthermore the tape composed entirely of non-conducting materials is far better than the traditional steel bands.
Polyglass banding tapes, which are soft and a little bit sticky, are easy to use and they are widely used in manufacturing heavy duty AC/DC motors, traction motors, generators and transformers.
