mould compound phenolic resin
A range of pure and modified phenolic resins are available for use in moulding compounds, which can enhance a variety of properties in the moulding compound, when used with the appropriate filler/fibre combination and process conditions:Liquid resin:Grade | Appearance | SRY(%) | Viscosity @ 25 °c(cps) | Water(%) | Application |
PF-8201 | Yellow brown/red liquid | 75 - 82 | 3,700 - 4,300 | ≤6 | Wood flour, glass fibre etc |
PF-8202 | Yellow brown/red liquid | 73 - 80 | 2,000 - 3,000 | ≤5 | Wood flour, glass fibre etc |
PF-8203 | Yellow brown/red liquid | 75 - 80 | 8,000 - 11,500 | ≤3 | Wood flour, glass fibre etc |
Solid resin:
Grade | Appearance | Softening point( °c ) | Cure @ 150 oC(sec) | Pellet flow(mm) | Application |
PF-8001 | Yellow flakes/powder | 95 - 105 | 55 - 90 | 35 - 55 | Injection powder |
PF-8002 | Yellow flakes/powder | 95 - 110 | 50 - 90 | 30 - 55 | Injection powder |

PF-8004 | Yellow flakes/powder | 95 - 105 | 60 - 90 | 35 - 60 | Moulding powder |
Packing and storage:
Liquid resin: Available in 30 / 200 / 240Kg metal or plastic drums. Resin must be stored under 25 o C in a well ventilated, cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or other heat sources. Typical shelf life: 3 months in winter and 1 month in summer (storage under 10 o C is recommended).
Solid resin: Packed in 20 or 25 bags with Kraft paper-plastic woven composite outside, lined with plastic liner, or 500Kg polypropylene bulk bags. Resin must be stored below 25 o C in a well ventilated, cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, or other heat sources. Do not stack bags too high in order to avoid agglomeration.
