KPG-24/T630 is an SF6-insulated pole mounted switch disconnector designed for overhead line installations up to 24kV 630A. This outdoor switch disconnector is suitable for both remote control and manual operation with excellent load breaking and fault making capacity. The tank fulfills the requirement of “sealed pressure system” meaning that there is no need to add gas during its expected lifetime.
Structure and Features:
1) The switching functions and all the live parts are contained in a sealed and corrosion resistant stainless steel tank filled with SF6 gas. Compared to air, SF6 gas increases the dielectric strength and it has a rapid arc quenching capacity increasing the duration of the equipment and reducing its maintenance to minimum.
2) The stainless steel tank, with 3mm Stainless Steel and TIG welding method, is particularly suitable for providing protection against the extremes of heat, snow, corrosion, moisture and salt in the most demanding climatic conditions.
3) Safety Valve is supplied. In case of internal fault, the overpressure is directed to the Safety Valve which is positioned in the back side of the switch disconnector. In this way the gases will go out from the Safety Valve protecting the operator.
4) Indication of the contact position (open/close) is visible at the foot of the pole through the window located under the operating mechanism. Also the operating handle can point the Close or Open position.
5) Operating counter is supplied. Operating times can be inspected through the visible window.
6) Low Pressure Interlocking Device is supplied which ensures the safety operation. With the help of the visible window, people can check whether pressure is normal. Green is normal and Red is abnormal. Under low pressure, the switch is locked and no operation can be acted.
7)Anti-wrong Operating Handle can protect against the wrong Close operation. It further ensures the safe operation.
8) The external operating mechanism is very simple and reliable, since it is of the type with independent operation on exceeding dead center; the contact operating shaft rotates on bearings housed in a stainless steel box, which guarantees long endurance.
It can be remote controlled or operated manually by an insulated hook stick or transmitted operating mechanism.
9) The operating mechanism (manual or motor type) is installed in the Enclosure, which protected the mechanism from rusting and ensured the operation. The operating mechanism cover is steel made, properly sealed with rubber ring and painted in order to withstand moisture and air.
10)SF6 Gas Pressure Gauge can be optionally installed under the operating mechanism to inspect the operating Gas range.
11)According to customers demand, Porcelain Bushing(Bushing with Terminal and Bushing with Cable)or Epoxy Bushing (with Silicone Connector or without) can be selected.
12) KPG-24/T630 is easy to install due to its reduced dimensions and weight and it is almost maintenance free.
13) All the manufacturing process follows a quality procedure in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
14) Each KPG-24/T630 undergoes a thorough check before leaving the factory.
