Chemical Composition (%):
Grade | C | Si | Mn | P | S | Cr | Mo | V |
1.2365 | 0.28-0.35 | 0.10-0.40 | 0.15-0.45 | ≤0.025 | ≤0.005 | 2.70-3.20 | 2.50-3.00 | 0.40-0.70 |
Properties:
Hot work tool steel with high resistance to thermal shocks and fatigue, good thermal conductivity, hot tensile and impact strength, resistance to tempering, fine grain size with high toughness, extra fine structure without grain boundary carbide, high creep strength at elevated temperature, insensitive to constant temperature change, low P and S content, suitable for water cooling. This grade can be produced on request by the process EFS, ESR or VAR.
Applications:
Highly stressed hot work tools in die forging presses for steels, brass and non ferrous metals, pressure casting dies for heavy and light metal alloys, mandrels, inner liners, stems, die holders, dummy blocks, pressure pads, bolsters, dies and containers for metal tube and rod extrusion, hot extrusion tools, single block inserts and dies for presses, tools for the manufacture of hollows, screws, nuts, bolts and rivets, hot shear blades, forging dies and press die inserts, die casting tools, hot forming dies, hot gripper and header dies.
