Organic White Tea

      No chemicals, pesticides or herbicides were used in the growth and processing of the tea.

It consists of only the young, silvery down-covered buds harvested in early spring. organic white tea has a clear, light golden infusion with a rich flavored body, unique savory aroma and sweet mellow finish.

      A 2009 Kingston University study showed that white tea had high anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-collagenase, and anti-elastase properties which could potentially reduce the risks of developing rheumatoid arthritis, some cancers, heart disease & slow the enzymatic break down of elastin and collagen (ie wrinkles or sagging) which accompany aging.

White Peony,a kind of white tea

The tea leaves, with white downy hair, look like white peony flowers. The tea has two leaves, with a bud in the middle. They are tender, bulging like waves, and white downy hairs are covered all over the back. After being infused, the green leaves set off the tender buds, which looks like the blooming of the peony, graceful and elegant. The liquor is clear and takes on apricot-yellow color, and the taste is mellow and fresh.

Hot Tea:- Boil water and let cool to 176F/80C- Steep for 3 minutes (longer=stronger)- Use approx. 1-3 tsp per cup- To re-infuse use higher temperature/less time

Iced Tea: - Pour 1 1/4 cups boiled water on 6 tsps of tea - Steep for 5 minutes- Pour into pitcher while straining leaves.- For a quart of tea add ice & top w/cold water- Garnish and sweeten to taste
